Lauren’s Lavender Farm & Café (30 min)

Just a half hour from Ongarue Cottage, is a magical and tranquil lavender farm set in gorgeous gardens on a cliff overlooking the Whanganui River. Great snacks and drinks as well as various lavender products are sold at the café by the Farm's friendly owners. If you walk down the 87 steps to the river landing you’ll see two beautiful waterfalls. and for those who don’t want to drive, Blazing Paddles offers canoe and jet boat trips to the Farm.
